Friday 22nd July 2011 will see me leaving the UK and heading to Budapest on the motorbike. In fact I may have already left. This page will list the latest blog posts, show the latest photos and let you follow along with my latest tweets – it’s all very exciting. You can take a look at my proposed route VS the actual route (perhaps this will be the first trip where my planned route matches what I actually do) on the right.

You always forget something
It’s 7am here in Calais. I’ve woken to a feeling that I’ve forgotten something. A quick check of my camping gear reveals it…. I’ve left my sleeping bag and sleeping mat on the spare bed back at home. Wet, so very very wet.
